What are the benefits of including my charger installation as part of the sacrifice arrangement?
Including the installation within your lease car salary sacrifice means that you will benefit from additional tax and national insurance savings making the product cheaper than using a provider as an individual consumer. You will also benefit from spreading the cost of the charger over the duration of the vehicle lease.
How do I include a home charging installation as part of my sacrifice arrangement?
When you generate a quote on the fleet portal and select your exterior colour and trim you will see there are additional services you can. To add a home charger please select EV Charger Install and the cost of the charger and installation will be added to your quotation.
What is included in a standard installation?
90% of installations fall within this remit, based on current electricity supply, and physical requirements of the property. If, after your home survey, it is identified your home install will not be standard, we will advise you of any potential increase in cost and give you the option to cease the order.
What process will I need to go through to have the charger installed?
Once we have received your order form for your chosen vehicle stating your request for a home charger, Fleetcare will contact Cord to start the online home survey process. This will require you to provide further information regarding your home electricity set up and desired location for the charger. Once this survey is complete Fleetcare will work with Cord and the vehicle manufacturer to coordinate an appropriate installation date to ensure you have a working charger when your new vehicle is delivered.
Typical lead times post survey for installations is 3 weeks, therefore completing the home survey as soon as possible is helpful in ensuring installations run smoothly.
What happens if I return my lease vehicle early and have not made all the monthly payments for the charger?
If you are terminating your lease agreement early you will be required to pay any remaining months of the agreement due for the charger, in full, at the monthly rate detailed in your order form. This is in addition to any termination charges which are associated with the vehicle lease ending early. These costs will be payable from net pay.
What happens if I move house?
The cost of uninstalling and reinstalling a home charger typically exceeds the cost of getting a brand-new installation in your new home therefore most customers leave the charger with the new owners.
Do I have to use Cord, or can I use another supplier?
You can use any supplier of your choice for a home charging installation however if you want to include it as part of your salary sacrifice you will need to use Cord.
